Hypnotherapy for Anxiety & Stress in Bury & Manchester

If anxiety has become your baseline, the constant hum of worry, tension you can't shake, a mind that won't switch off, this is for you.

Not because something is wrong with you. Because your nervous system has learned to stay on high alert. And that's something we can change.

When stress and anxiety don’t switch off….

Stress and anxiety start as a normal response to pressure. The problem comes when the mind stays in that state — even when the pressure has eased.

For a lot of the people I work with in Bury and Manchester, it shows up like this: feeling tense or on edge most of the time, constant worry or mental scanning, overthinking everything you say or do, irritability or emotional exhaustion, struggling to relax even during downtime, and a growing gap between how you look to the room and how you actually feel inside.

Over time, this becomes your system's new normal. It doesn't have to stay that way.

How hypnotherapy helps with stress and anxiety

I use solution-focused hypnotherapy and neuroscience-based techniques to help you calm your stress response and retrain the subconscious patterns driving it.

In practical terms, the work we do together focuses on helping your nervous system feel safer, reducing automatic threat responses, interrupting anxious thought loops, and building emotional regulation that lasts beyond the session.

Rather than managing anxiety all day, you'll learn to work with your own mind. For most people, that's the shift that changes everything.

Sessions take place at my clinic in Bury, Greater Manchester, or online — whatever works best for you.

What clients often notice changing

As anxiety dials down, clients commonly experience fewer anxious spikes and spirals, clearer thinking and better focus, improved sleep and energy, greater emotional stability, and a growing sense that life is manageable again — without forcing it or pretending.

Is this right for you?

This approach works well if you feel anxious, stressed, or constantly on edge, have tried coping strategies without lasting relief, want support that is calm, practical, and forward-focused, or want therapy that works at a deeper level than talking alone.

It's also right for you if you're functioning fine on the outside but running a deficit on the inside, and you've reached the point where you want that to change.

Hello, I’m Suzanne

After 15+ years in senior leadership roles within growing, owner-led and mid-market businesses, managing teams while raising a family, and caring for ageing parents, I know what it’s like to appear in control on the outside while managing stress, anxiety, overwhelm, and self-doubt on the inside.

Facing my own health challenges, fertility journeys, grief, and career pressures revealed just how powerfully the mind affects our wellbeing, resilience and ability to cope. Through these experiences, I discovered the life-changing impact of caring for my mental fitness and seeking professional support when I needed it most.

That’s why I decided to retrain, swapping boardrooms for the chance to help people reset, reconnect with themselves, and move forward with more ease and confidence toward a more positive, hopeful, and happier state of mind.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Solution-focused hypnotherapy combines clinical hypnosis with solution-focused brief therapy — a modern, evidence-based approach that focuses on where you want to go, not where you've been. Unlike traditional counselling or CBT, it works at the subconscious level, where habits and stress responses actually form. Sessions are structured, practical, and forward-focused

  • Most clients notice a meaningful shift within four to six sessions. The initial consultation gives us a clear picture of what you're dealing with and what a realistic programme looks like for you specifically.

  • This is one of the most common things I hear. Solution-focused hypnotherapy works differently — it addresses the subconscious patterns driving anxiety, not just the conscious thoughts. Many clients come to me after other approaches haven't delivered lasting change.

  • No. Some people arrive in significant distress. Others arrive proactively — they're functioning but want to feel better, sharper, and more resilient. Both are completely valid starting points.
